from Bishop Daniel

"My
Dear
People,
The
Diocese
of
Santa
Rosa,
Department
of
Catholic
Cemeteries,
provides
places
where
our
catholic
people
can
rest
among
fellow
believers
as
we
await
the
resurrection
of
the
body
in
life
everlasting.
|
|
Our
Catholic
Cemeteries
are
places
of
devotion
and
prayer,
places
of
peace
and
tranquility
where
we
come
to
honor
and mourn our loved
ones
who
have
gone
before
us
us
marked
with
the
sign
of
faith. |
|
 |
|
This
is
an
important
year
in
the
history
of
our
Santa
Rosa
Calvary
Cemetery
because
after
years
of
planning
and
construction,
its
new
mausoleum,
dedicated
in
honor
of
Saint
Theresa
of
Avila,
will
be
blessed
immediately
following
the
memorial
mass
at
10:00
a.m." |

Nestled
on
the
rolling
hills
of
Bennett
Valley
and
enjoying
a
commanding
view
of
the
city
of

stands
Calvary's
Catholic

Committal
Chapel,
dedicated
on
Memorial
Day
1965. |

The
original
split
tower,
symbolizing
the
joyous
release
of
its
earthbound
corruptible
flesh
into
the
presence
of
the
Risen
Lord,
(represented
by
the
19-foot
gold
leaf
cross
on
the
65-foot
high
tower)
still
remains
the
"home"
within
which
the
Chapel
stands,
but
the
Chapel
itself
has
undergone
a
"make-over"
(2004). |
